If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to drive your Mini on a race track then Mini World Live at Rockingham on 10 July is the perfect opportunity. Safety is paramount so track time is fully marshalled and all drivers attend a safety briefing. Sessions are 20 minutes each and cost just £20 if booked in advance.
As well as track time there is so much more to enjoy at Mini World Live including camping and entertainment the night before the show, concours, club stands, trade stands, engine diagnostic sessions courtesy of AC Dodd and ML Motorsport, quarter-mile drag racing, and The Great Mini Bake Off. There will be displays of MiniWorld feature cars from the last 25 years, silver Minis, commercial Minis and modified Mk1s from the Mk1 Performance Conversions Club.
There will be two celebrity guests at Mini World Live: Former BMC Competitions Department Manager Stuart Turner will be there to recall Mini’s legendary Monte wins and classic car restorer and TV presenter Ant Anstead will take a Mini on the track and judge the all important Great British Bake Off.
On top of all the many attractions of a static Mini show and track day, at the fantastic venue of Rockingham Motor Speedway at Corby, Northants, Mini World Live on 10 July will also be a fantastic Mini weekender. During the party on the Saturday, the night before the Sunday show, Mini owners will be entertained by The Rod Stewart Experience. Top entertainer, Pete McCall, will perform all Rod’s Stewart’s hit songs for those Mini owners choosing to camp over. To get you in the mood you can check Pete’s song portfolio out online at www.youtube.com/c/Rod-stewartUk. Weekend camping tickets are £18 per person including a camping pitch with access to toilets and showers and evening entertainment.
